Knights has supported the shareholders of Universal Security Systems (USS), a London based security systems integrator, with its sale to US based Convergint.

USS have been operating across Europe for over thirty years providing security solutions including network-based security systems, enterprise access control and intruder detection systems.  The deal will see circa 100 staff members joining Convergint and the focus of both businesses is on harnessing the combined knowledge and innovation to drive value to their customers.

With a strong reputation in the European market, the acquisition of USS will further strengthen Convergint’s European and global presence positioning the company to manage the rising demand for services across its markets.

Knights’ Corporate team was led by Gareth John and included Grace Hill, Sarah Mikrut and James Woodward.  Tax advice was provided by Kate Featherstone and Jade Edgar.

Gareth John, Partner at Knights, commented“It has been a pleasure working with Universal Security Systems on its sale to Convergint.  We wish them every success for the future.”

Paul Mangham, Shareholder of USS, commented: “We are delighted with the outcome. The Knights plc team supported us throughout the process and their attention to detail, hard work and sensible approach meant the deal completed by the originally agreed deadline.”
