Knights' Planning team has secured planning permission on behalf of Empire Property Concepts for the tallest residential building to be constructed in Stoke-on-Trent.
Carl Copestake led the team to secure planning permission from Stoke City Council for the 13 story Glassworks development.
The development will comprise of 220 one and two bedroom apartments for rent in the city centre and will provide residents with access to an on-site gym, rentable community space, communal lounge area and outside landscaped area.
Construction on the new development is due to commence in summer 2021 and will contribute to the regeneration of Stoke-on-Trent’s city centre, taking a temporary carpark and delivering a major new development in the heart of the city.
Carl Copestake, Partner in the Planning team, commented: “Swanky tall apartment blocks of high quality design aimed at the professional market has tended to pass the city by, with developers heading towards Manchester and Birmingham. So this is a real coup, and a sign of confidence in the city to compliment other regeneration projects. Our Planning team was delighted to secure planning permission having worked collaboratively with the City Council over several months.”
