Warren is a Senior Associate in the Employment team.
He works with clients on all aspects of employment law and HR including dismissals, restructures, tribunal litigation and settlement agreements. Warren has expertise navigating complex internal disputes, handling discrimination claims, and providing support on employment matters in corporate transactions.
Recent examples of how Warren supports clients include:
- Representing a hotel chain to defend a complex tribunal claim issued by a senior employee. The employee issued various claims of whistleblowing, unfair dismissal and various allegations of discrimination, harassment, and victimisation. Following lengthy litigation, Warren was able to successfully help the client defend the claim in full at a final hearing.
- Advising a leisure centre group in connection with management restructure involving proposed redundancies which led to senior leadership dispute involving a key senior employee. The client required assistance in handling several grievances in connection with allegations of anti-bribery and sex discrimination at management level whilst trying to navigate the ongoing needs to complete the restructure involving multiple employees and risk of reputational damage. Warren was able to successfully advise the client on how to best navigate the various processes involved including running concurrent processes relating to sickness, grievances and redundancy as well as proposed dismissal due to a breakdown in relationship.
- Providing employment support to the corporate team on the sale of a large car dealership involving the completion of employee due diligence, indemnity drafting and advising on the transfer of undertakings (TUPE) within the transaction. This involved working closely with the corporate team and client in connection with employee due diligence matters, advising on indemnities within the asset purchase agreement and advising the client on their obligations under TUPE within the transaction.
