Joanna Mills is a Consultant in our Wills, Trusts, and Probate team, with over 15 years of private client experience.
Joanna specialises in Wills, estate and lifetime tax planning, estate administration, the creation and administration of trusts (including personal injury trusts and trusts for vulnerable beneficiaries), Lasting Powers of Attorney, and Court of Protection matters.
Her niche expertise includes estate and lifetime tax planning, particularly the creation of trusts and the use of Family Investment Companies, where she works closely with our Corporate and Commercial team to meet clients' needs and tax objectives. Joanna has extensive experience in managing complex, high-value estates, including those with business, farm, domicile, and foreign assets, as well as dealing with double taxation agreements.
Joanna regularly acts as attorney, trustee, and executor, collaborating with local accountants and financial advisors to ensure her clients’ estate planning requirements are met and protected.
A full member of the Association of Lifetime Lawyers, Joanna also advises on the management and protection of the affairs of the elderly and vulnerable, including care fees issues, Lasting Powers of Attorney, and Court of Protection applications.
