Charlotte is a Partner in the Family team.

She specialises in all aspects of family law and advises on divorce, separation, finances, children, nuptial and co-habitation agreements, and has experience advising and negotiating financial settlements involving clients with business assets, pensions, pre-post separation acquired assets, inheritance and property portfolios.  

For couples who are planning to live together, marry or enter a civil partnership, she advises on wealth protection via cohabitation agreements and pre and post-nuptial agreements. Understanding the sensitivity around entering into agreements of this nature has enabled Charlotte to build a strong and reliable reputation in this area. 

Charlotte works with separating parents and advises on parental responsibility, childcare arrangements and internal and external relocation cases. 

She is a member of Resolution and is Family Law Accredited.  

Here are some recent examples of clients she's supported:

  • advising and negotiating upon a financial settlement in a long marriage with assets including a family business, more than million pound pension provision and a property portfolio
  • securing a financial settlement for a wife who would continue to be responsible for her disabled adult son whilst the husband lived and worked in a foreign country
  • negotiating a settlement on behalf of a husband whose wife pursued him for a financial settlement 25 years after separation
  • supporting a client during the negotiation and drafting of a prenuptial agreement to protect significant family inheritance and assets
  • securing the return of a child who had been removed from the jurisdiction by his mother, whilst working collaboratively with solicitors in Northen Ireland and successfully defending a jurisdictional issue within the United Kingdom
  • successfully representing a father against an application by the mother to relocate their child to New Zealand.
