Alasdair is a Solicitor in the Regulatory team.
Areas of experience include:
Advising Overseas Entity Companies on their responsibilities and liabilities under the Economic Crime (Transparency and Enforcement) Act 2022, as well as registering, updating, or removing said overseas entities from Companies House in relation to their UK real estate.
Defences to and mitigation of sentence in a plethora of road traffic offences including:
- Speeding and exceptional hardship arguments (where points on licence risk disqualification)
- Failure to identify the driver in response to a notice from the Police
- Excess alcohol or drugs and drunk in charge of a vehicle
- Failure to provide a specimen of breath
- Careless or dangerous driving
- Using a data device whilst driving

- Variation of bail conditions by way of court order.
- Representation before professional disciplinary and sporting tribunals and regulators.
- Acting in the defence of companies accused of employing people without the right to work in the UK.
- Proceedings in the First Tier Tax Tribunal for liability to pay excise duty.
- Licensing, temporary event notices, and public highway road closures for large events.
- Traffic regulations and restrictions pursuant to Local Authority orders.
- Advising on liability for private parking charge claims against registered keepers of vehicles.
- Advising on claims for unlawful arrest, malicious prosecution, and harassment.
- Advising on DBS Certificate entries and challenging inaccurate records.
- Measures under the Anti-Social Behaviour Act, including High Hedge Remedial Notices.
